We took a family "trip" to Florida over Christmas. It was definitely an experience...probably not one we'll do again till the kids can drive themselves. Some of the "bad" memories are starting to fade and the good ones are overriding the bad ones. We got a quote last nite to repair the inside of Bruce's truck door...its not that bad...only $70...so we can live with that. For those of you who haven't heard...Brooke "accidentally" chewed the inside of his Avalanche door. Yes...that is correct. The fellow said, he's viewed and heard alot over the last 15 yrs but never that.
The kids have had a ton of hockey over the past 3 weeks...but they are doing well, Stacey's team received a silver in their tournament and David's select team won the "gold"...in which they receive pewter rings. He's pretty excited. Stacey has started her soccer tryouts for the Under 11 premier league..we'll know in 2 weeks if she made that team or not. I signed David up for soccer and Brooke wants to also. Which may not be a bad thing as she has WAY too much energy. David is also playing 3 on 3 with his team this yr and baseball...so there is no way he can tell us he's Bord. I'm glad Bruce is on Days now, as I'm letting him do the running with the kids more. For those of you who don't know my children ,they are on the HIGH end of energy...and the Dr. told us, keep them busy to keep them calm...so I guess that what we must do.
We're hoping to travel to Buffalo next month to see Mel. She is playing a couple of games there so its the closest to us and I think we can handle the 2 hr drive there...I'll bring some chew toys for Brooke.
The weather has been crappy around here lately...freezing rain then snow on top. I took a slip the other nite...its wasn't pretty, I'm just glad it was dark outside so none of the neighbours could have witnessed my graceful fall. I was trying to protect my bad ankle, but it still got a twist. Nothing a tensor bandage for a few days won't cure.
The boys went on a fishing trip on Lake Toho... they enjoyed this the most. David Loves fishing and spending time with his Dad.
