Friday we started out to the Dr. office for a 10 am appointment. We got to Oxford and Clarke Road and I heard a noise coming from the back right tire....OH NO...that's not good. So I went and pulled in the 3M parking lot. YEP...a flat tire...not only flat, but a rip in the side wall. Now what...hmmmmmmmmmm....who can I call at 9 30 am, that can get there quick, with 3 kids in the truck....Uncle Roger....yep, I'll be there shortly...thank you, thank you, thank you. Within 10 minutes he was there, we loaded the kids in his truck and he took me to the Dr. and called the tire repair guy to replace the "new" tire that was put on last month. (ouch). That was the quietest my kids have been in along time....ha ha ha. So into the Dr.'s office and after we called Nan and Pop to pick us up. Thanks again.
We're standing outside the Dr.'s office in order for them to see us...the kids were cold and Stacey says...."I guess this is what it feels like for people who don't have cars"...a good life lesson.
So off to Nan and Pops, we had a great visit with Uncle Charlie...the kids gave him a huge hug....I think it made his Birthday a little more special. Then out of the blue, Bruce showed up. He had left work early (due to a very sore knee) someone was looking over me. It was the weirdest thing ever. So he dropped me off to my fixed truck and the kids went home with him.
We surprised the kids with a visit from Mel. Bruce picked her up in Kintore at 1:30 am and brought her home. So when the Stacey got up they were surprised. Mel went to practice with Stacey and went on the ice with them. She was sooooo excited to show off her Big sister.

I took David and Brooke to his Delhi tournament. Bruce brought Mel to Delhi after their practice. Again, the kids faces told the story when they saw Mel. The hugs and smiles were worth all the money in the world. Bruce and I loved spending time with Mel...we really miss her. We're planning on going to Buffalo in 2 weeks to see her play a couple of games.
I stayed for 2 games of David's (which they won), then I left to come home and get Stacey and let the dog out. I wanted to get home before the weather got worse and while there was still daylight. The weather was nasty...with whiteouts and slippery roads.
David's team one their houseleague tourney. They were happy.
On Sunday, Bruce and the girls went to the take Mel to her friends to take her back to school. The got a tour of the farm...I can only imagine that. One of the cows sneezed on Brooke....I would have loved to see that one.....lol...as the girls were plugging their noses, saying it stinks...lol. When they got home, I could tell Bruce needed to be busy, so he said lets go shopping, so off we all went to Port Huron. I stayed in the back seat to limit the arguing and it worked. It was the most peaceful drive/trip. It went pretty good. I read to the kids and played game boy with them. We got a few good deals and it was nice to get different groceries.
All in all a great weekend. And we're off to another busy week. Its no wonder my kids can't sit still...that's all they have known...lol.
